Finishing What the Builder Started
Perry has been one of the fastest-growing towns in Middle Georgia, and that shapes the work we do here as concrete contractors. Perry counted 13,839 people in 2010 and 20,624 in 2020, a 49 percent jump, and the 2025 estimate is 25,699. Growth like that brings new houses, and new houses come with the basics. Owners usually want more.
Common Perry projects
Most Perry projects fit one of these groups:
- Back patios: the builder poured a 10-by-10 pad, and you want room for a table, grill and chairs
- Stamped concrete: a patterned, colored surface that looks like stone or brick without the upkeep of pavers
- Driveway extensions: an extra parking pad beside the garage, or a turnaround on a longer lot
- Walkways: a path from the driveway to the backyard so you are not wearing a rut in the grass
- Slabs: a base for a shed, detached garage, generator or hot tub
Adding onto newer concrete
Attaching new concrete to a slab that is only a few years old takes care. The two pours will never bond into one piece, so we plan for that. We place an isolation or expansion joint where they meet, and where it makes sense we drill and set steel dowels so the new slab cannot drop or lift relative to the old one.
We also look at grade before we add on. Builders shape yards to move water away from the house. A new patio dropped in the wrong spot can block that flow and send water toward the foundation. We set the slope of every addition so the yard keeps draining the way it should.
Older Perry has its own needs
Not all of Perry is new. The town was incorporated on December 9, 1824, and its original city limits were a circle one mile across, bounded on the north by Big Indian Creek. Interstate 75 came through the west side of town in the early 1960s. Homes near the old center and along the older roads tend to have aging driveways, cracked front walks and porch steps that have settled.
For these, we usually start with repair options. Clean, narrow cracks can be filled and sealed. A worn but sound surface can be resurfaced. If sections have heaved or sunk, we remove and replace them, rebuilding the base before we pour.
Low ground near the creek
Big Indian Creek runs along the north edge of the old town and feeds the Ocmulgee River. Lots on lower ground near creeks and drainage ways tend to stay wetter after storms. Wet ground means a softer base, so on those properties we dig deeper, add more compacted stone, and think hard about where runoff will go. Concrete itself does not mind water; a base that washes out or stays soft does.
Busy weeks in October
The Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter opened in Perry in 1990, and the 11-day Georgia National Fair is held there every October. If your project lands in October, tell us whether your street is on a route to the fairgrounds, and we will pick pour days that keep the concrete truck out of fair traffic.
How we price a Perry job
We measure the area, check access for the concrete truck, look at the grade and talk about thickness, reinforcement and finish. Then you get a written estimate. Call (478) 666-0956 to get started.

Perry Questions
Can you make my new Perry patio match the house's existing concrete?
We can match a broom finish and joint layout closely. New concrete is always a little lighter at first and evens out with time. Stamped or colored concrete is a good option if you want the new area to stand out on purpose.
Is stamped concrete a good fit for a new subdivision home?
It is a popular choice for back patios and front entries. It needs a sealer reapplied every few years to keep the color and protect the surface.
Do you pour shed and workshop slabs in Perry?
Yes. We size the slab to the building, set the thickness and reinforcement for what it will hold, and level it so the structure sits flat.
